First using foul language proves these type of people are truly incapable of using their native language intelligently.

There is a place in art for reality, which includes the use of salty language.

But in the manner that the odious and untalented Bette Midler used it last week, at a fundraiser (as in F&%*%% the GOP) it's just low rent. Such people may have fame and fortune, but you can't buy class.

re: Proving once again, that unless you are 25 and gorgeous, you are finished in Hollywood.)))

Saw a review of a Cameron Diaz movie (something about sisters) and was aghast at how she looked even in a glimpse. She's gotten the Julia Roberts treatment--looks like she spent a week in a wind tunnel, all skull and stretched skin. You know they're goners when they start going to the butchers.

To a certain degree. Most cases I observe abuse it for shock value and nothing more.

I feel bad for Foster, she has a hard bitter edge just below the surface which understandably in her case comes naturally as a defense wall. That part of her reminds me of Martha Stewart. They both have very redeemable quality about them, ie., a person can see in them that they sincerely want to do good, the right thing. It's just so difficult and time consuming wading through all the garbage and parasites.

Of course there are some fabulous middle-aged actresses doing amazing work. On HBO, and on Desperate Housewives, for instance...

I've never seen this Desperate Housewives...should I rent the 1st season DVD? I like watching series TV that way. We watched the entire three seasons of THE SHIELD in less than a week and the 1st season of NIP/TUCk also. Have you ever seen NIP/TUCK...LOVE Julian McMahon!!!

b. this is from Debbie Schlussel.......

(if I am not mistaken, Pissant has put Debbie into the the same category as Michelle Malkin. This means that if you start a tread on one of Debbie's columns, you must post pics of Debbie. Thanks)

"If it weren't for illogic and stupidity in plots, there might well be no movies or literature at all."

You stand by this statement?

Every book ever written, every movie ever made had illogic or stupid plots?

Hmmm, you sure are smarter then the rest of us. I have read a fair number of books that were perfectly logical, and seen a good number of movies that where good and logical. I guess I am just too stupid to see how they were illogic or stupid.

I have also read a few bad books and seen a few awful movies tht were both stupid and illogic, I just would not make that claim for ALL.

I just watched "Man on Fire". Thought it was a really good movie.

I guess its possible to read a Liberal agenda into it, somehow, if you really tried to.

Yes, I stand by the statement. The level of illogic and stupidity may vary, but it is nearly always there.

"Thanks for ruining the plot. I appreciate that."

The writers ruined the plot. I just saved you from wasting your money going to see it. You should thank me.

My problem with 'Panic Room' was the way it was directed. It seems the element of surprise would dictate that a home look appealling and friendly before the director turn the tables on the characters and audience. Instead that place looked like a death trap from the first moment. My first thought was 'why the hell would anyone want to live there?'. :-)

"The only surprise is that they apparently didn't include a LESBIAN oral sex scene between the homosexual Foster and a female flight attendant."

Foster's really a tough broad. I heard that she licks all the female flight attendants in the movie.

Do we have an obligation to jump right to hysterics?
