I once ran out out gas in Beaumont, Texas coming back from Florida. A very nice female cop stopped to help, drove me to a gas station and drove back to my car. Texas is a very friendly place.
One of the things I like most about Texas. People are rather friendly here.
Of course, it doesn't hurt that "failure to stop and render aid" is a state jail felony.... We *really* don't like people that leave other people to die out in the vast spaces that are Texas.
