Tell me about it. I drive a suburban and we went to see my son in Calif. It was like bullets going around me and the lanes were so narrow that the lines were almost touching each tire. Scary. How do they breath?
They have a lot smaller cars on the average there and build accordingly. Unfortunately, they didn't take into account the psychological factors of building those lanes so close together. Ooops.
Of course, the greenies out there have stalled any new construction, so during rush hour it doesn't matter as you just sit there in traffic and idle.
