FORECASTER AVILA
I've eaten most everything, most of the time because no one bothered to tell me what it was.
I have no idea how close we are in age, so I won't ask if you went to Bellaire High.
I don't dance :-)
Far beit for the MSM to play up the contrast in behavior between the TX evacuees and NOLAs. It seems so obvious to me.
Ain't it the truth!
My mother tried to tell me what it would be like for me when I became a grandma, but I thought she didn't know what she was talking about. (She knew...she knew.)
That second webcam has heavy two-way traffic. I hope that's not a whole lot of folks giving up on the evac and going home.
Your excerpts were explicit. :)
I've been through hurricanes. They are the most exciting and the most frightening force to be a part of. And yes, I mean be a part of. You become part of the storm.
You have that right. I made great time getting to my sister's house. I went on the frontage road most of the way. I watched the gridlock on the interstate while I zipped on by.
I think he and Condit were DC buddies.

Until recently, Ford was planning the Extreme, the Expulsion and the Exxonvaldez. Now they are looking real hard at the Ka.
Transitioning from days to nights (plus taking the baby to nursery school).
Ya, especially when all 10 g/kids want to stay the night, the same night...
My parents left Victoria at about 10:00 this morning, they just called from my uncle's house in Kilgore after 9:00. It's usually a 6 to 7 hour drive, took them about 11 this time. No big panic though, didn't have too much trouble getting gas. Of course, my father is smart enough to avoid the big towns and stick to the rural highways.
I see that. It's got her back over water too. I fear of one going down the coast. That Nogap is a fickle little sucker though, isn't it? He's been all over the map. mexico-La-Mexico-La.....
But all that's gonna change here real soon!
The main highway is moving quite nicely in those pictures. I don't get why the feeder on the one side is so congested. Is I-45 contraflowed there?
I am just waiting for someone in the media to start harping that Texas is in "ready mode" more than Louisiana because of course that is Bush's home state!! May have already happened and I missed it.
