Ironically, the local ambulance chasers hate him too and wish he'd go away.

Top of the hill or the bottom???

There was a little place off the the top of base we used to go to for lunches, but I don't remember what it was called...

My Favorite places were The Club, or The First National Fog Bank...

We play Central Point, but didn't do the Strange Thing there this time. Where you from? Central Point, White City? Eagle Point, Gold Hill, Rogue Valley? Merlin, Hugo, Jump Off Joe? As of ourselves we are down here in Northern California in Butte County....We play OR during the summer. Central Point, Redmond, Coos County, Grants Pass McMinville and of course to the brain dead in Salem...

Sometimes, but they generally tend to be more fair and impartial than those in the "appointed for life" category. They, after all, have to answer to the public for their decisions.

Having observed the CA "appointed for life" idea and the TX "elected" idea, I much prefer the latter.

The MSM showed an interview with an 84 year old BOI Galvestonian. BOI means born on island. When asked why he was not leaving, he replied, 'where would I go ?'.

In other words, Galveston or Bust !.

I know, I was yanking his chain...the real problem is on my end, and it's a Netscape memory leak that makes it time to reboot...and feed the cats....and get some dinner....and get some sleep.......just hanging on for one more plot to see if Gtown lives or dies.

I have a Hurricane Nita spin on the Munchkin Land Song:

Hildebeast

Come out, come out, wherever you are and meet the old lady, who fell from a star.

She fell from the sky, she fell very far and Vacaville, she says, is the name of the star.

Munchkins

Vacaville, she says, is the name of the star.

Hildebeast

She brings you good news. Or haven't you heard?

When she fell out of Vacaville A miracle occurred.

Dorothy

It really was a miracle. What happened was just this.

The wind began to switch - the house to pitch and suddenly the hinges started to unhitch.

Just then the Ditch Witch - to satisfy a ditch went flying on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch.

Munchkins

And oh, what happened then was rich.

*The house began to pitch. The kitchen took a slitch.

It flew with the Ditch Witch in the middle of a ditch,

Which was not a healthy situation for the Ditch Witch.

The house began to pitch. The kitchen took a slitch.

It flew with the Ditch Witch in the middle of a ditch,

Which was not a healthy situation for the Ditch Witch.

... Who began to twitch and was reduced to just a bitch of what was once the Ditch Witch.

Munchkin #1

We thank you Nita sweetly, for doing it so neatly.

Munchkin #2

You've killed her so completely, that we thank you very sweetly.

Munchkin #1

Let the joyous news be spread, The Wicked Ditch Witch at last is dead!

"You've obviously never been to East Texas.
East Texas is a HUGE pine forest.
"

Why, yeah...sure...especially thick pine forest in the mountains between Austin and Brownsville. [...little sarcasm and irony there.] Or does everything south of the Arkansas part of Texas not count?

I remember in the Katrina threads, as well as a NO evacuee
talking about how the day before Katrina hit there weren't any birds...have any of the Houston folks noticed there being less birds around?
