Meanwhile, here we sit waiting to be mauled by Mother Nature and all our resources went to NO. For 3 weeks there hasn't even been a generator in town! Our city gov't had to go 100 miles yesterday to get one to keep our water pumping--if needed. Our hotels were already full and our churches are still feeding --two meals per day--people from NO.
This morning they are saying we could have 125 MPH winds for 10 hours.
I have a bed-ridden mother with Alzheimer's. It's too late to leave. I'm scared!
And frankly, I think it would be better if this thing went in to NO because it would be better than destroying what's still standing.
