I won't stay after the storm without A/C for longer than a couple of days to find kennel to board my dogs and nice a hotel in Santa Fe NM or someplace else wonderful.I'd stay away from Santa Fe. Besides high prices for everything, the city sport is bashing/blaming Bush for everything. You do not want to be there. Try Cloudcroft or Ruidoso, NM.

Stay in Rio Rancho. Lots of new hotels, plenty of shopping, and you can visit Santa Fe without having to stay there (45 minute drive). Take a tour of the Intel plant.

I know you are right about Santa Fe. I made my first trip there in 1952, when I was 12. I love the place but the California freakos moved in and changed it, even the long time Santa Feans didn't like them. If they give me any lip I'll just tell them I have lots of ill gotten Republican money to spend and to get out of my way and let me spend it. LOL
