I hope this wipes out every oil rig and refinery on the coast. Ummmm...I disagree, for a lot of reasons that are less impetuous than your rationale.

My point is meant to be exxagerated, I don't really want that but the US must find a way to end our dependence on foreign crude product but I'm starting to wonder if it can happen short of my "exxageration"? If we're going to freak out over every hurricane then that alone should tell the eco-twirps and oil giants somethings wrong.

I have finally made it to Sugar Land from Galveston. That normally takes a little over an hour. Today it took four and a half hours.
Houston area FReepers... I-45 is a parking lot. HWY 6?, forget it. Even Beltway 8 was first gear only.
Good news: All tollways and HOV lanes are free for general use with no fee.
The Galveston bridge will be flipped to all lanes outbound tonight at six, same time the mandatory evacuation begins.
The Bolivar ferry has stopped service until further notice.
