1) How about asking him - politely - to post FACTS to backup his vitriol? For each paragraph - tell him only the facts will do if he wants to really make a valid point.

Where are you from? I'm from Massachusetts and it seems whenever I meet cool people in college they turn out to be liberal. Most of my friends are Democrats, and just forget about any nice girls I meet. They're all liberal too, but nine out of ten times can't even tell me why. I just don't say much about anything with my friends, the alternative is pretty lonely. I can't wait till I move someday.
