The lack of support for Katherine Harris' Senate bid among some Republicans isn't being replicated by hard-core conservative groups like the Christian Coalition.
That was apparent Saturday night in Orlando, where Harris was invited on stage at the Christian Coalition of Florida's annual banquet dinner. Harris shared a laugh with conservative talk show host Ann Coulter and was lauded publicly by Ralph Reed, former executive director of the national Christian Coalition.

The unwavering support from the Christian Coalition is hardly a surprise, based on Harris' voting record. In the group's latest scorecard ratings for Congress, Harris was one of just three members of Congress from Florida to vote with the Christian Coalition on every key vote identified by the group. The other two perfect voting records belong to Rep. John Mica, R-Winter Haven, and Rep. Dave Weldon, R-Palm Bay.

Thanks for the update.
I love her. I bet she'd win if the independents and undecides see her in a debate. She's just such a lightening rod for the Democrats to rally against, it's really a tough call and I understand why the White House is afraid of her, but I think she can do it.
Hi Julie, figured I'd drop in and let you know I'm alive, LOL.
I'm at West Point, actually. Plebe year is okay. I'm learning to fit in. Anything is better than the summer, which was so hard.
I haven't had much time to follow anything KH has done lately, although it frustrates me that it seems like the party is treating her like crap.
I imagine I'll be checking FR sporadically, as the schoolwork permits, and will be wondering what the elections will yield...
West Point.....WOW.....That's fantastic!
Great to hear from you! I was wondering where you were all this time!
I'll try to keep you updated on the Campaign!
Email From NewsMax:
John Kerry Attacks Katherine Harris
In what U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris calls a "desperate" move, John Kerry has sent out an e-mail message urging support for incumbent Florida Sen. Bill Nelson in next year's election.
Rep. Harris has responded with a message of her own sent to Friends of Katherine Harris, stating:
"On Wednesday, John Kerry e-mailed a message on behalf of Bill Nelson. Bill Nelson is so desperate that he has turned to the losing Democratic Presidential candidate for help. He knows my campaign is strengthening each day and that I am a huge threat to his re-election."
Kerry's e-mail equates Harris' gutsy decision to certify the Florida presidential election results in 2000 with "disrupting the democratic process."
The e-mail, excerpted in Harris' message, reads in part:
"Senator Katherine Harris. It's the last thing Florida needs.
"But the truth is, Harris and her backers are working overtime to drive Senator Bill Nelson out of office. So, we have two priorities in this Senate race - making sure a strong Democratic Senator gets re-elected, and making certain a Republican candidate doesn't use her role in disrupting the democratic process as a stepping stone to higher office."
Harris responded: "John Kerry is right, my campaign and I are working overtime to defeat Bill Nelson because Florida needs a senator who will work hard for our state and not succumb to the pressure of Democratic leaders."
The Harris campaign suspended fund-raising "out of respect" for the victims of the Gulf Coast hurricanes. Her new message solicits donations from supporters and states:
"I know I am the right candidate to represent Florida in the U.S. Senate because I will fight for our state.
"We cannot afford to have a vacuum of leadership in Florida any longer."
Go, Katherine! Let's get ur dun.
Go, Katherine! Let's get ur dun.
"She's Built for Comfort & Speed."
One of my favorite pictures of Katherine Harris.
I believe he's addressing an alumni group at her grad school alma mater.....Harvard!
I never understood why she wore it to start with.
Yes, Katherine Harris looks much better without the make-up, I guess that November was an unlucky time for her !
That, and a victum of bad camera-work and bad lighting .
