LOL! You have me now!
That would be a three way tie - Senator Ted, Biden and Schumer.
Although it would appear that Schumer is saving himself for the second nomination.

The Dims have painted themselves into a corner. They can't win back any of the votes they lost if they insist on continuing on "obstruction",and if they don't they will lose the $$$ backers.

she does not comprehend how supply and demand work. She's just not talking about the same thing: She demands and someone supplies is how it's supposed to work to her. ;-)

Ted talks like an ideologue but his office was among the last to comply with minimum wage when Newt's conservative congress forced him to do it. I will cede you the drunken part.
As for Joe, I don't think that he's stupid. Sometimes very smart people make decisions that they think will work out but they don't. The other thing is that sometimes we do things a particular way even though we may have the best of intentions (work with me here :-) ) and we are so committed to the overall goal that it's hard to see that the efforts are counterproductive.

$$$ backersThe use of money in politics is for getting votes.
If you offer a politican a choice of 20 million dollars or a million votes, he will turn down the money and take the votes.
That is the beauty of our system of government. A significant group of united voters always has more power than a few people with big bucks.

I'm disappointed in Senator Coburn's questioning. He promised to determine if Judge Roberts is a strick constructionist, or at least to ask questions that would tend to discover that, and he did not do so.
I'll be writing Senator Coburn about this, but I wanted to post it here for public consumption.

The Dems are trying to drag this out as long as they can... Only to lay the groundwork to defeat/defame the next nominee or earn the campaign contributions made by leftwing paracitic groups.

I have really enjoyed watching these hearings at night, on CSPAN. The Senators fumble with their notes, and ask their questions. Roberts doesn't miss a beat and launches on them, in a cool, collected manner. The ease with which he makes his arguments is astounding. His knowledge of the law, and the calm way he makes his case, makes the Senators seem so puny. LOL.

Psycho therapists would have a field day analyzing these senators. They are asking Roberts how he FEELS about things. Ha! Only God knows how we really feel about stuff.
