I thought Spectre wasn't going to ask Roberts about Roe v. Wade and although this isn't that case law specifically, Spectre seems to be closely skirting the issue.

Maybe he's trying to cut Feinstein off at the pass...

Just a few minutes into it and I am already very very impressed with John Roberts. Wow, he's a smart man.

Roberts just SHUT HIM DOWN: I will be glad to discuss the principles of "Stare Decisis" but I cannot discuss PARTICULAR ISSUES or CASES.
I LOVE IT....SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE SPECTER.
To: Mo1
I was watching the post bloviating by Schumer, Leahey and Kennedy yesterday and was thinking, I wish some reporter would have the balls to ask Kennedy;
"Senator Kennedy, Do you think Judge Roberts should be disqualified if we found out that he once drove off a bridge, while drunk, and then ran away leaving his female passenger to suffocate?"
To: jp3
Spectre has really misled us, imo, when he said and columns were written about how he wouldn't ask about abortion. And he's really pushing Roberts to answer some questions that so far Roberts has declined to answer.

OMG. I had to break from work to post sheer delight that John Roberts is taking the Ginsburg track in not answering issues that may come before him. Arlen is ashen. The determination to defend infanticide is pathological.

Spector should have been axed a year ago.
He's showing his true colors - pro-abortion colors.
Shame on the republicans for leaving him in this key position.
This will cost to GOP much much fundraising monies.

The quotes Specter read from the Casey case are disgusting. What a travesty that decision.

Just tuned in. Whose side is Specter on anyway?
And FGS, why doesn't he just "buzz" his hair?
Oh well..

yes, I don't have any faith in Specter as a conservative or as the ranking member of this committee. But, I'm still thinking it is a strategy...I may be wrong.
However, I'm loving how Specter keeps asking the same question and Roberts will not be cornered.
