WAKEMAN, Ohio - Sheriff's deputies found 11 children locked in cages with alarms in a north Ohio home, and prosecutors are looking into possible charges of abuse and neglect.
The children, ages 1 to 14, were in nine cages in the walls of a house outside this city of about 1,000 about 50 miles west of Cleveland, according to the Huron County Sheriff's Office. They had no blankets or pillows, and the cages were rigged with alarms that sounded if the cages were opened, Lt. Randy Sommers said.
The children told authorities they slept in the 40-inches-high by 40 inches-deep cages at night. Doors to some of the cages were blocked with heavy furniture.

I cannot say what I would like to see happen to these people that would lock up children like this.
I'm familiar with the concept "Mommy and Daddy are tired", but I think this couple set a new standard.
YA THINK?
I would think that foster parents were checked out a little better than this...
We have friends that have foster kids and they can homeschool their own 4 children but the foster kids have to attend the public school. It has something to do with state laws.
.."possible charges of abuse and neglect."
I had to read that twice and im still not beleiving it was stated !
Foster care system gone awry.
But...if humans are just a more complexly evolved animal - why does it offend so much?
oh that's right, we as humans are fearfully and WONDERFULLY made in God's image and as such should treat and be treated to a higher standard.
Stories like this just about push me over the edge.
How about a picture of the house. . .in a neighborhood - people maybe 'thinking' something strange - or is did this family live in total isolation?
Will we hear they had been investigated for possible child abuse multiplie times. . .but some Lib social worker kept losing the files; or imagining things not bad here. .
What has really happened here; beyond sick, bain-dead; drug-mind-adults in charge of children. . .
A reality with all the attributes of really bad fiction. . .
Did they ever need a plumber. . .an electrician?
No visiting in-laws?
Well, I knew what you meant.
Huron County Prosecutor Russell Leffler said the children had various disabilities, including autism.
They were special Ed. That's usually covered by the state, too, in order to collect social security payments for them.
Where is Bush????
He doesn't like caged children!!!!
/sarcasm
Must be pretty high on the dem pecking order to get 11 @ $1500/mo each.
HO booooooooy. Someone needs to watch the watchmen, capisce?
Maybe you ought to - I went to regular school.
......A children's services investigator saw one of the children in a cage Friday, Sommers said. The sheriff's office obtained a warrant and returned to the house that evening and removed the children.
....... County Prosecutor Russell Leffler said the children had various disabilities, including autism.
There must be a special place in Hades for these two.
How come it took so long for children's services to catch this?
On their coffee table... "The Compleat Works Of Edgar Allen Poe."
You'll have to make it heavier for mine, too. I also put the emphasis on the wrong words. Sorry.
