Hurricane Ophelia continues to churn off the off the coast of the Carolinas with a track that has confounded computer models and meteorologists for days. Hurricane watches are issued for much of the SC and NC coastline. Northern GA and southern VA coastal areas are currently within the three day cone of uncertainty. Check local NWS service for updates.

BTTT.
I am supposed to be celebrating my birthday at Topsail Island this weekend. :(
I'm hoping this thing is about 300mi off the MA shore on Saturday so I can get some surfing in down at Nauset beach.
It is sunny and a light breeze right now in Wilmington.
Was in eastern NC last weekend....they could use the rain.
A NautiNurse?
And you didn't come see me?
My grass is brown as I've ever seen it.
Was there for the Family Reunion. :)
I can tell ya right now....we won't be getting much in the way of grapes this fall. Pitiful....just pitiful.
Okay........what's the latest........where?
Bring your kite & galoshes.
HBTY!
My dad has been watering our grapevines some.
Otherwise we'd have no wine! The yield is not like last year, though.
We have 3 varieties: Scuppernong, Golden Isles, Black Noble.
We have scuppernong and one brave concord. Don't think the siblings have been watering 'em....the "grapes" are smaller than a grape seed.
BTW, our farm isn't on that aerial map, but we were on a virtual island for several days.
Your backyard??????????
(anyone who knows my opinion of hurricanes/trop storms knows this is just a joke, as I would wish no such thing upon my worst enemy)
BTW: I don't know.
Are they scuppernongs?
Scuppernongs...........yum!
Have you ever tried the Golden Isles?
It's very similar to our scuppernongs, but larger and doesn't have as sharp of a muscadine taste.
No, but if you'll tell me when they come in, I'll look for some.
I just gave my niece and her boy friend their first taste of scuppernongs this weekend.....they couldn't believe how wonderful they were.
Look for them now. Our are already coming off.
I promise you, if you like scuppernongs, these will knock your socks off.
