You're "resting your case" on a statement that is 100% opposite from reality! There's not a thing in that sentence that applies to the current situation. That's not an opinion, that's fact.

If you had gone back and read through the string of posts leading up to that one, you would understand that I never intended anything in that sentence to apply to the current situation -- it was a point I was making specifically about the Vietnam War.
