Unfortunately, the story that gets out always makes our president look worse.

It is truly amazing the foresight that this president has had in planning for disaster preparedness. How many people are aware of the National Response Plan that the president implemented late last fall? Has this even been mentioned by the MSM? (rhetorical question - of course not... catering to the grade-school attention spans of their audiences)

DHS or FEMA didn't have to wait for the local governments requests or lack thereof, and I'm kind of appalled that they let a corrupt governor take over their sphere of authority.

The administration has been way too deferential to corrupt local officials in the name of "bipartisanship" ... and their (let's just say the heads of FEMA and DHS) lack of spine is doing a disservice to the president.

LA had & has a standing government & because of it they maintain full jurisdiction over any and all federal action within their territory. It wasn't just in the name of "bipartisanship". It was & is the law of the land. I see no power given to the federal government to override a state's standing government in your link, though I'll admit, I only skimmed it. Please direct me to the page where you see otherwise.
