A word can be pretty important. Remember the "is" problem? If the "word" isn't that important, why fight for it?
The point is that he's protecting democracy. Citizens voted and he's making sure that those votes count. I thought that was paramount to democrats? Right? Each vote counts, right? Come on, help me out here. Either you want the votes to count or you don't.
I'm with you on the democracy thing. That is important. And I want to protect marriage too. It's just that substantively it's all meaningless in California. They just create marriage by another name and harm California kids just the same.
