"Reflected media bias -- that scary percentage of people who know only what the media feeds them and, when the pollsters come around, dutifully regurgitate it for them"
I think it's bit the other way around. The Pollsters put out these loaded push polls, in which they feed the results to the MSM for distribution.
Which makes 13% all the more remarkable...
Oh, no doubt about that. What I'm pointing out, though, is the media pre-work -- the constant drone of spoon-fed catch-phrases and prefabricated, pre-thought thoughts -- that grooms people for such polls. Like a courtroom, where you never ask a question without knowing what the answer will be, the media-groomed mind can be reasonably reliable when it comes to puking back answers that mesh perfectly with the propaganda they've been fed. I realize that this is somewhat a "chicken and egg" kind of thing, but the poll answers did not emanate from a vacuum; the seeds for those answers have been sown, watered, fertilized and carefully cultivated by a media machine with a distinct bias. That the fruit on those trees turns out to be poisonous ought surprise no one, least of all any among us.
