Yep...ironically, I came across my fathers Pickett in a trunk the other day....reminded me of how he used to lament "always know how to do the math longhand...because that calculator ain't gonna do you a bit of good at 30,000 feet with the plane going down and your batteries are dead".
I still think of him each time I pickup my HP-48S....
