There was a black academic who stated that sharks to this day follow the routes of the slave ships because so many dead Africans were thrown overboard. Supposedly, they remember and are waiting for more (I am ASSuming he meant that the memory is now genetically encoded in the shark's DNA).

As I understand it, there are naturally occuring ocean currents (eg , the gulf stream) which are richer in sea life than quieter regions. And the ships relied on such currents in the days when sail power was the only form of power at sea. That's why "the sharks follow the same route as the slaving ships" .

If the Democrats lose the monolithic black vote, the party becomes non-viable on the national level and in many States. This is life-or-death for the Democratic party as we know it and I've been warning everyone that they will mount a no holds barred effort to blame Republicans for this.
