Arron Brousard, President of Jefferson Parish, claimed that the Emergency Management Director for his area mother was trapped in a building for 5 days, calling her son every day until she drowned on last Friday.
BUSH'S FAULT!
Welcome to FR.
IMO Brousard is a lying guilt racked incompetent.
And BTW what does this have to do with political class warfare?
I don't doubt that this unfortunate woman may have died, but I do wonder how she drowned on Friday, well after the storm and levee breech hit their worst levels.
Do you have a link to this information?
Or was it something you saw on the T.V.?
Please elaborate!
Wasn't it a friend's mother?

Log in complete.
And isn't Jefferson Parish much whiter and much wealthier than Orleans Parish? If so, maybe the delays are actaully caused by the unprecedented scope and logistical obstacles of this disaster, rather than by the race/class of the people affected (not to mention the incompetence of state/local officials)
Broussard was interviewed on CNN bawling and bawling because his friend's mother had called daily from her nursing home for about 4 days. She was told repeatedly, according to Broussard, that someone would be there to get her. She, according to Broussard, drowned there on the 5th day. I confess some suspicion. Who leaves there invalid mother after she calls repeatedly? Bit, after all, I wasn't there, so I don't know the specifics.

I don't know how to log in.
Hello?...
Hello?...
Is this thing on?
Thanks!
I does sound a bit suspicious, but, you're right, without being there it would be tough to really know if it's true!
Darn-- "their" invalid mother.
Also forgot to mention, CNN showed this interview with Broussard repeatedly. Question: Why did they stop showing such a damning bit of footage? Hmmmmm....
I = It
Sheez!
Not enough coffee yet!
:0)
I saw this guy(Brousard) on CNN (And the Russett show) sobbing without any detectable tears and making the claim. I don't know if is story is for real, or a politcal cover your rear. I do think the answer is important since he got national coverage.
Actually, I was always curious how she managed to call for 5 days. From what I heard most land lines were knocked out, and I don't think a cell phone battery lasts that long without recharging.
"I do think the answer is important since he got national coverage."
Just because you get 'national coverage' doesn't make anything you say important!
Remember Cindy?
Ahhh, lets see, phones were out, cell phone towers are out, electricity is out, and he was speaking to his mother during this time.
Better bring inthe men with the meds and white jacket for this guy, I say he is ready.
They **have** to whine an cry on tv - otherwise the Cajins and Creoles will hunt them down and turn them into gator bait later..
