He gave to GWB too. Face it, you've already lost the point. I claimed he was middle of the road, and the evidence proves it. Guys like adam_az tried to selectively post only one side of the equation, and got busted for it. Gates gives to both.
He also speaks out against "communism". So does Ballmer. They condem it. There seems to be some disagreement on whether modern China is 100% communist, but they do realize the dangers of communism, and have spoken out against it. These are all facts that all your twisting and spinning can't deny.
The real issue is how you want to selectively attack MS but give IBM a complete pass on the issue. IBM has been dealing with China much longer than MS, literally GIVES technology to the Chicoms for free, has a much closer relationship with the Chicom government, and openly refers to the fascist leaders as their partners. It is a much bigger issue that has been known for a much longer time. I admit I am disapointed that MS is begining to follow IBM's lead.
I created a thread lamblasting Gates for his comments praising modern China. Yet the record clearly shows you have never once criticised IBM for much greater collusion with the Chicoms, ever. You've given them a complete pass, for much greater support of China, look at all the links above, including selling the IBM PC division to the Chicom government for a fraction of the value. Most obviously, Microsoft has never been fined by US government for illegal tech transfers, to anyone, but no one has any more than IBM. Yet not a peep out of you. That's all fine and dandy, apparently.
Bottom line, you seem to hate Bill Gates just as much as communists do. In fact you seem to have a lot in common with them. And don't blame me for stating facts, because as you know that's all I deal in.
