I read articles like this all last week, and yet I see footage of these same evacuees at the shelter at Baton Rouge and the Astrodome, and there are a lot of children, loving mothers, older women and religious, God-fearing men. I am beginning to resent stories that 98% of these people are predators. Maybe 2% were predators and I hope they were among the 5 or 6 state police shot and killed after they fired upon the Army Corps of Engineers contractors today.
But enough of characterizing the vast majority of them as predators!

But enough of characterizing the vast majority of them as predators! Then why didn't the "majority" stand up to the "minority?"

I'll take the word of the refugees who experienced the hell in that dome over what you wish were the truth and I want every single one of the predators brought to justice, or justice brought to them.

among the 5 or 6 state police shot and killed after they fired upon the ArmyThat's pretty ambiguous and I had to reread it a couple of times before I realized that the army guys were not shot at by state police. I think maybe it needs a that strategically placed, thus:
among the 5 or 6 that state police shot and killed after they fired upon the Army

I read articles like this all last week, and yet I see footage of these same evacuees at the shelter at Baton Rouge and the Astrodome, and there are a lot of children, loving mothers, older women and religious, God-fearing men. I've been feeling the same disconnect. I think there were lots of rumors flying around in a stressful, scary situation like that, with no outside news. I'm sure they were some bad apples but some of the stories, particularly in the overseas media but also in our own, have been hysterically over the top. "Rapes!! Murders!! Mayhem!!" and then you see all the people being evacuated from the Superdome and they look like women, children, families, elderly...
There was an article yesterday in a British paper along those lines. He was hearing "Mad Max"-style horror stories about the Convention Center and then he went in there (while all the people were still there) and it was nothing like that. Just tired, hungry people waiting for help.
I'm sure there's been some crime but it seems to me some of the media has been broadcasting hysteria and rumor.

"Maybe 2% were predators "
You are very naive or you have decided to ignore reality.

They didn't say 98% were predators, they said 98% were bad. Where bad would include any who were indifferent to predators preying on the white folk
