I didn't hear him address the story (I've seen it on FR somewhere this morning) about hizzoner "pulling all the police and firemen out of the city."
Was that story a rumor, or is the NOPD openly defying their mayor?

The NOPD press conference is excellent. 4000+ LEO, including NG are now targeting looters. The first 2-3 days LEO were focused on rescue. Now the focus is looters. NOLA Deputy Police Chief Warren Reilly gave report about yesterday's bridge shoooting incident. He is standing up for his men, who "have been through pure hell."
I like this guy already.
