"Brown may not be the most riveting speaker, but by gosh he was on the TV urging people to evacuate before the governor or the mayor did a damn thing!" Amen. There have been too many people on this board that have been aiming at Brown. And I think it's disgusting.
The corruption in Lousiana is rampant. Katrina has exposed it for the world to see.

The plan for the New Orleans officials was "pray the storm misses us like Ivan."and early Monday evening, they were rejoicing in their good fortune.

Very similar to how Katrina started. Well, maybe mother nature will come finish the job.

I posted on that earlier and my blood is still boiling.
As I posted just after 9-11.
The 9-11 fund would instigate more free giveaway funds every time we had a disaster.
Even though the average payout was more than one million many victims still wanted to sue the government.
When is the tornado fund or the earthquake fund or the ice storm fund going to click in for us unlucky or lucky enough not to live in New York or in New Orleans.
I'm sure a lot of people in Florida are licking their chops right about now thinking they forgot to get one of their hurricanes funded.

I can't get that link to work.
Anyone who gives to that fund, is a certifiable idiot.

They have figured out they will lose some seats in the election next year.

"The plan for the New Orleans officials was "pray the storm misses us like Ivan." Well said.
And what a sad 'truth' it is.
People died.

So the scene in the movie "primary colors" about a MOMMATHON was real?...LOL

I read there were only about two dozen people who showed up for the Decadence Parade. If that's true, then that picture is a bit of misleading photojournalism. My first thought was that there are a lot of people who are off their meds down there...

I have refrained from mentioning the name of JJ because I feel the less said about him the less thought about him. But JJ is no authority on where these people may choose to reside now or in the future. Unknowing to JJ, he has not been selected, elected as spokesperson for the black populace. No one that I know every mentions his name. He is insignificant. JJ should have stood in the middle of the floor inside the Superdome and stated to the New Orleaners that he wanted them to stay put in Louisiana and see if he would have emerged in one piece.

Not one utterance.
Maybe her high paid consultant told her to take the 5th before she ends up in jail...

For sure. There is a Cult of the Momma down here.
I take advantage of it. I swear, Mommas are sacred.
To: myprecious
Thank you for that narrative !
Did the hurricane people say who/what the 'guards' were - ie: cops, troops, etc ?
Cuz if that part's true, they need to go to prison.
