He is lumping ALL the levels of government's handling of this
I think the Feds did fine .. but I think the city and state FAILED!
Well, let's look at our blessings. So long as O'Reilly and Newt are on together, we know they won't be ruining two different shows at the same time. They are confined to one show.

Every time Jindal had an opportunity to say something about the local officals, he always said something like "there's enough blame to go around."
He didn't blame Bush or Chertoff or Brown specifically either, but he kept going back to the bureaucratic red-tape, which to me was code for the feds.
He always deflected when Brit asked him a question about the local officials.
Perhaps I should leave the Hillary! interview to you, since I already suffered through the Bubba camera time today.

Assuming a conservative 50 passengers per bus, that means an additional 183,000 people could have been evacuated (not that they'd all go, mind you, but there was ample transportation --and ample time-- to move them out of harm's way).
The suppose grocery store guy refused to leave with the coast guard rescuer. Something smells regarding that matter. The suppose grocery store owner was not alone either, there was another individual there with him although I could not decisively make out whether the other individual was male or female. But by the style of shoes the other individual has on it appeared to be female shoes. :)

It's all a matter of timing. He did, without naming names, say the results were unacceptable.
I just wish he had said that, oh, 24 hours earlier. And it would have been good for him to acknowledge some breakdown of civil order in NOLA, and that restoration of that was a priority. The problem with that is he would be stepping on the governor's authority and responsibility to maintain civil order in the first place, so he's sorta caught there.
It's a minor quibble. I was very happy with his speech on Saturday morning, and I was less than impressed with hearing congratulatory speeches (just between the politicians and bureacrats) when the city of NOLA was under 15 feet of water and there was a widely reported serious breakdown in civil order - said congratulatory speeches coming earlier in the week. They're all at the WH website. It's an easy cronology to follow.
That was the idiot's wife. Apparently they've decided they can't force him to leave. So he will likely die where he is.
I agree with you about what I might do if Rush jumps on the bash Bush bandwagon....I may have to go cold turkey on TV, talk radio AND FR..sniff, sniff.
