am voting in this billoreilly.com poll, everyone should.

I don't like the way Bill formed that question

He is lumping ALL the levels of government's handling of this

I think the Feds did fine .. but I think the city and state FAILED!

Well, let's look at our blessings. So long as O'Reilly and Newt are on together, we know they won't be ruining two different shows at the same time. They are confined to one show.

The idiots in the press forget that if this was the Cat 5 direct hit they were originally supposed to get, everyone in the city of NO would have been wiped out, including Shepard Smith.

EXACTLY!

And Greta Van Sustern is the Clinton's own personal correspondent on Fox news. Her segment on O'Bloviator was nothing but drool.

Plano's school district has decided to get vaccination records first, and they were slammed in an editorial yesterday because of it.

As they should be. They will be vaccinated. To tell these ppl after all they have been through that they are not "good enough" to attend school is unthinkable. The doctors at the shelters are checking them out. I would *think* since bacteria has been found, they will be looking for all of these diseases that has us so worried. I would be shocked if any unhealthy children are going to school.

Every time Jindal had an opportunity to say something about the local officals, he always said something like "there's enough blame to go around."

He didn't blame Bush or Chertoff or Brown specifically either, but he kept going back to the bureaucratic red-tape, which to me was code for the feds.

He always deflected when Brit asked him a question about the local officials.

Thanks for the heads up - I think...

Perhaps I should leave the Hillary! interview to you, since I already suffered through the Bubba camera time today.

You know .. if Clinton can help those folks and help raise money for them ?

I don't have a problem

But if he dares to make a political attack .. then he is fair game

I keep thinking about the post where it was stated there were 4 dempsey dumpsters worth of weapons collected in the Dome.

You should be able to recognize a lunatic when it posts nonsense like that - and not repeat it.

Get a grip.

He's being non-specific for a reason. His talk is merely for local consumption. He wants to be governor.

"Yep mold will make a lot of people sick."

Send in the lawyers. Do you think they will airlift in or arrive in caravans?

At least 1658 state government owned buses within an hour and a half of N.O.

Assuming a conservative 50 passengers per bus, that means an additional 183,000 people could have been evacuated (not that they'd all go, mind you, but there was ample transportation --and ample time-- to move them out of harm's way).

The suppose grocery store guy refused to leave with the coast guard rescuer. Something smells regarding that matter. The suppose grocery store owner was not alone either, there was another individual there with him although I could not decisively make out whether the other individual was male or female. But by the style of shoes the other individual has on it appeared to be female shoes. :)

Tammy illustrating the difference of results from a people that are self dependent and elect good leadership, verses those with no hope reliant on the welfare state. Night and day.

In a better world that might have been funny

The world's about as good as you decide to make it, darlin'.
If I couldn't find a reason to laugh at it a few times a day I'd prolly have to slit my throat.

Cheers...

What good what it have done in the rescue efforts and the victims, for Bush to get on national TV and blast the effort of those in charge and on down the line?

It's all a matter of timing. He did, without naming names, say the results were unacceptable.

I just wish he had said that, oh, 24 hours earlier. And it would have been good for him to acknowledge some breakdown of civil order in NOLA, and that restoration of that was a priority. The problem with that is he would be stepping on the governor's authority and responsibility to maintain civil order in the first place, so he's sorta caught there.

It's a minor quibble. I was very happy with his speech on Saturday morning, and I was less than impressed with hearing congratulatory speeches (just between the politicians and bureacrats) when the city of NOLA was under 15 feet of water and there was a widely reported serious breakdown in civil order - said congratulatory speeches coming earlier in the week. They're all at the WH website. It's an easy cronology to follow.

That was the idiot's wife. Apparently they've decided they can't force him to leave. So he will likely die where he is.

I agree with you about what I might do if Rush jumps on the bash Bush bandwagon....I may have to go cold turkey on TV, talk radio AND FR..sniff, sniff.

You said that Oprah was in Houston today---so was, Clinton, Hitlery, Sheila Jackson Lee, George HW Bush and some other celebs...

Those people in the Astrodome are getting ready to find out what "being used for a photo-op" means, when by the end of this week...NO ONE comes to check on how they are!!!!

So far, please grade how the authorities have handled Hurricane Katrina:

I think the Feds did fine .. it was the City & State Gov that failed
