I understand what contraflow is, but I never saw it on the TV. All traffic was on one side of the road, and basically a parking lot.
Never actually saw the 'contraflow' in effect.
She drove that far to volunteer her time? I'm VERY impressed. I hope she's careful; there have been some disturbing reports of violence at the shelters.

I know I'd like him then. General Franks was always considerate to his soldiers. He has moved close to Snyder, Ok, about 50 miles away and had a book signing at Walmart. My wife surprised me with an autographed copy for Christmas, said she had to stand in line hours to get it.

but I saw on a thread that during an earlier presser, Greta was asking a question, floating a rumor that the levee was broken PURPOSLY!!!

I believe I heard it declared to be at 4pm on Sunday. I was surprised later that day at how few cars were using it, tho.
As long as it's Monday and we don't let them delay further, I'm okay with it.

When is that next "area of interest" in the Atlantic expected to make landfall? I don't know all the ins & outs of weather forcasting but I do understand that there are many factors that make prediction difficult at best. What is the soonest it could reach Florida (or wherever it is most likely aimed)? How likely is it to go north or south? Thanks.

Most folks never realize it, but after an officer has survived the competition of a military career and combat, succeeding well enough to be awarded stars, his first reaction on walking into any room or situation is to answer the question, "How can I kill every single person here?"
Once answered, his actual responses will be dictated by the use of the minimum force or assets necessary to accomplish his mission.
"Going maximal" is online as an available option at all times, never to be advertised or wasted. Much more useful than admiring what he actually did to that reporter would be asking yourself just how much else he was holding "in his pocket" and deemed unnecessary to use.
Yeah....wait for it. :-)
