The Amendment states, "CONGRESS shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
If you're going to use the First Amendment defense, understand what it means first. Free Republic is not Congress, okay? And the First Amendment enjoins Congress from prohibiting free speech, and no one else.
