Police Shoot 8 on New Orleans Bridge

NEW ORLEANS - Police shot eight people carrying guns on a New Orleans bridge Sunday, killing five or six of them, a deputy chief said.

Deputy Police Chief W.J. Riley said the shootings took place on the Danziger Bridge, which connects Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River.

He said he had no other details.

"You'd think their ministers at least, would caution them about bearing false witness. But wait! It's the left leaning, hate filled preacher men who are most guilty of doing just that."



Bingo! And especially in New Orleans. The black ministers made a big deal out of some supposed study, saying blacks were being charged more than whites for Long Island Iced Teas in the French Quarter, while they said NOTHING about the black on black murders that were happening day in an day out in pre-flood New Olreans.

I do sincerely hope they were indeed armed thugs and not law-abiding citizens trying to protect themselves.

I'll concede that my use of the term "thug" in the title may have been premature.

That's what I just heard, too ... they were killed by police as they crossed a bridge on the way to fix a canal.
