Seems to me we also are seeing evidence of a complete failure of the New Orleans public health system.
Fox commentator said in some ways the peope in the Astrodome are BETTER OFF, because they are finally getting medical care!
Hi snugs,
I cannot post graphics but this link is to a diagram of the size of Lake Pontchartrain. I do not believe that there has been much media coverage explaining the magnitude of the threat that NO lived under.
It might be of interest to this thread if you could post it. Thanks, I am off to church now.

Aaron Broussard, President of Jefferson Parrish said "bueracracy has committed murder here in New Orleans" at first this jerk sounded like he was going to blame everyone, up and down the chain. but NOOOOOOO, he immediately reveals his intent. It's Bush's fault, it's FEMA's fault.
he's reading, did anyone else notice he's reading from a script????..got to wonder who wrote it for him.
He's lying, he's making up shit. He's thanking Governor Blanco????? Oh dear He's even thanking the Levee Board. oh my Lord!! this is high high drama.....
AND FAKE!!!! He's crying about somebody else's Mother???? Like that?????? I don't think so!!! What a dramatic tale of woe.. "this is a well-written dramatic reading!!! If Donna Brazille didn't write this, I bet she knows who did!!!
thank God for professionals like Haley Barbour. He's not whining! He' s not blaming!
They are slime, what else do we need to know?
I secretly await the day we get to watch one of these FOOLS get impailed by a light post or some other such object while standing in front of cameras during a hurricane.
All loss of cover is temporary. He'll get an award for his unbiased hard hitting balanced journalism sometime in the next 12 months - or at least MSM praise for being that.
His breakdown may not all be about the hurricane...

Aaron Broussard, Judge Subpoenaed In Corruption Probe
See post #306
I've been watching Tennis, there's been some very good matches.
Blake beat Nadal yesterday, it was fun to watch.
IMHO, Rove doesn't need to worry about "damage control" --- but only if he's willing to make sure the truth sees the light of day.
Wesley Clark is apparently a partner of Witt's in their emergency consulting business that got the contract last year to (IIRC) design plans for NO. (The other partner is also from Arkansas.)
The LA constitution called the governor HE. It was never intended for a woman to be in charge.
I can absolutely see him dressed like Tim Curry in "Rocky Horror"
>"BUT... no mention of the 250 school busses left to flood because they were never activated by the "why aren't you doing my job" mayor."<
I distinctly remember watching Nagin, on WWL (from the 'net), on Sunday before the hurricane hit. He specifically said, when asked about going into the center of the city and evacuating the people, "People won't go, if you try and get them". He came across with the attitude, "why bother"!!!!
He was being interviewed by the local newscasters.
Those reporters asking Chertoff for a body count are nothing but ghouls looking for their next headline.
Hollywood's frustration is showing when we have to have 2 liberal Presidents on shows at the same time. I wonder if they even know what a conservative is?(I know they think they know).
And if anybody criticizes the NOLA PD, Mary Landrieu will punch them.
It's so blinkering sad - the city is swamped, thousands killed, the suicide cases may have lost their familes and have nothing to live for. And it so blikering maddening, many prominent DEMs play political football instead of putting a shoulder to the wheel and unite the country, just for a few weeks.
I am so pissed at this poltical blame game!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm about to shut off the tv and not watch for a couple months!
Landrieu says she will "punch Bush - literally"

If they're bringing Clark in, that pretty much proves that they're not actually creating a liaison group for coordinating efforts, though that's how it will be sold. They're really creating something like Harry Reid's "war room", and using Blanco as a conduit for information that they can take and spin before it goes public.
Clean house and put some local LEADERS in that can make things happen!
