Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio have all added a new suburb overnight. These new suburbs have no land, money, infrastructure, or government. When you account for all the small towns around Texas that have shelters, many of the Texas towns have immediately matched their growth plans for the next decade.

You aren't counting the people that are in their families homes. My parents house has almost tripled in size with all our family in from NO for the forseable future.

Some are talking of going to Baton Rouge eventually, but everyone is hunkered down

I bet there are 500k plus in Texas. Remember when the order went down they said DO NOT TAKE I-10 East to Houston

I don't know about the other cities, but Houston does not have a suburb with a population in excess of the number of refugees it has accepted.
