I'm not positive on this but I think Bush and the Congressional Republicans want to keep the status quo. Putting Gonzales and Roberts on the court would be about the same as Rehnquist and O'Connor. Bush knows that if Roe V. Wade is overturned, the Republicans will lose the Northeast and all the pro-choice country club Republicans. I don't think the pro-life Democrats would go anywhere because the ones who were very deeply pro-life one issue voters became Republicans. It's my understanding that if Roe v Wade were overturned, the issue would go back to the states. Congressman Billybob, I'm pinging you on this one, as to exactly what that would entail.

Yes, the repeal of Roe v Wade would mean each state could decide its own laws. Just like federalism was supposed to be.

I know! All this news is certainly coming fast and furious isn't it?! All we need now if for Ginsberg to announce she is retiring this week!.......HA But then Shumer an Lehey(sp) would probably together both spontaneously combust!!! Boy wouldn't I love to watch that one! You and me both, Bush gal. By the way, stupid question from me, is the LA for Louisiana or Los Angeles?

RIGHT ON...
Pure genious.
Mr Rove orchestrating the hurricane.
POTUS Bush (on Que) rushing in to save the day.
Death of Renquist timed perfectly. (just for effect)
Turn of events or destiny?
Mastermind or manipulation?
WOW, what a "legacy"!
All kidding aside-
History rarely blesses the human race in the culmination of such circumstances.
G*D bless the conservative philosophy that has triumphed in the last decade.
Without FR, Limbaugh, W, Conservatism, conservative Catholicism and the deteriation of Hedonism (socialism) as the dominate cultural influance, we may have fallen.
The turningpoint of the 60s/70s may well be at hand.
March on SOLDIERS!!!

I don't know about the other cable networks because I'm too lazy to get up and walk across the room and get the clicker, but from the minute that Fox finally announced that Rehnquist had died, they have blown away their SPECIAL COVERAGE of hurricane damage with its own special dreary music and switched to 24/7 LIVE coverage on a Saturday nite with Hannity, Colmes, Susan Estrich, the Judge from N.J., etc. It's 12:40 a.m. and this has been on for hours because the press likes this story much more than the one about unimportant ordinary citizens suffering and being rescued by the vile US military. They all care about who will make the court and none of them care about regular people so they will beat this story until there is nothing left of it. We'll be lucky to hear a blurb on the hour about the hurricane damage. But you're not bitter, right? A Supreme Court Justice just passed away, and yes that is big news. That doesn't take anything away from the folks in NO...not at all. For you to say that no one cares about the folks in NO is just ridiculous. I'd like to know how much money you have sent to the cause? Please enlighten us. Thanks.

;^) Mark Levin is one smart guy. Limbaugh mentions him as the EIB's legal counsel. I don't know if that's literal, or if that is Rush just being Rush (he calls him "F. Lee" Levin)

You don't know how much prayer is going on for our beloved President. He is being soaked in prayer all the time. But, you know this already. Where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.
To: Christian4Bush
"F. Lee" Levin, as in F.Lee Bailey.
On matters relating to the Constitution, Levin does advise Rush. So does David Limbaugh.

Amen, Amen and Good night to all. I've finally caught up to the end of the thread, and I've got an early callup tomorrow. Blessings to all of you, as we continue to stand up for our country. And we will not, cannot, must not stand down.
Good night.
