Tropical Storm 12
If you care about Newt's thoughts, read these then...
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1475770/posts
They can destroy all the evidence they want to.
The Governor and Mayor's comments throughout the storm and its aftermath are a part of the public record now, and they have already indicted themselves.
Additionally, the critical documents have also been archived in...many....locations, thanks to the internet.
Newt has been comprimised. To give an interview where he calls into question the entire homeland security effort since 9-11, is madness. the facts on the ground in NO hampering the relief effort have been well documented here. And it clearly gone much better in MS/AL, which is why the media doesn't focus on them.
I knew the effort was coming but it was frustrating to see people without water on television.
@@@@
On the positive side, I am amazed to learn how long so many people can go without water and still look in good shape. That is reassuring when considering future disasters.
Hmm. Have to look into that. "Berkey Water Filter".
Frist with geraldo. I like Frist as a doctor. It's as Senate Majority Leader I have problems.
speaking of nukes how is the nuke plant in NO any one know?
I emailed Fox and Drudge. Do you think I should even bother with CNN?
Baton Rouge residents buying 1000 guns a day, vs 15 pre flood.
Nahhhhh.......
3:31 PM --Interstate 59: One dead, National Guard soldier killed in traffic accident, reported by the Mississippi National Guard.
Yes. It's really something how resilient people can be when they have to.
soon they will be asking FEMA to give them free guns!
I don't want it to sound like I'm advising against volunteering there, but as for my schedule, their way of doing things was totally unproductive for me. That video may turn out to be one of the best things since Gone With the Wind.
Wake County, NC -- got about 125 med evac last night (er, night before?): More coming. Locally, we have ALL been asked to not travel -- so that emergency crews headed south from the NE corner, have gas along the ways. Talked with a family yesterday; son was taking "approved" BIG TRUCKS from my town to NO. Lots of "closed" gas stations will be providing the gas, along the way, all organized in advance.
Will someone please tell Geraldo that the Berlin Airlift did not happen during the Kennedy administration??? Please.
All day long he has been making an analogy between the Airlift during the Kennedy administration and the "air bridge" moving people out of the convention center area via helicopter.
For those too young to remember, the Berlin Airlift happened in 1947, during the Truman administration.
This event has taught us all to be prepared for anything. With New Orleans being the main Hub of shipping there will be shortages and possible gas rationing. Throw in a terrorist attack, an earthquake or a Cat 5 hurricane and more hurtin on the way.
I'm sure the Brady Family isn't too happy about that news. I suspect far many more will be buying guns now after witnessing how NO reacted, that ordinarily wouldn't think of doing so.
I don't have a gun, don't even know how to use one, but I'm reconsidering.
I rarely watch CNN but I have seen that little creep Error Brown recently and he reminded me of the Guy that played Fred Sanford's son on "Sanford and Son" Demond Wilson, he was a terrible actor. He was always looking at the wrong camera or forgetting his lines and having to be cued, and when he tried to show any emotion but anger it was so lame it was hilarious. It was hard trying to work with Red Foxx because he was so talented and a "Devil", but he was bad, and that is Error Brown to me.
