Yeah, fun's the most important thing in life, isn't it?

>"People forcing their own values down my throat... I think Mardi Gras is neat.. "

Here's something you don't want forced down your throat. The Southern Decadance Festival. Scheduled for this weekend in NO. Yet every TV station, school board, movie theatre, keeps on shoving Gay is OK Gay is OK.
Well gay is not OK, it spreads disease, and promotes the destruction of childhood innocence! Granted there are a few hetero pervs, but homosexuality is a PERVERSION of the logical order of Nature, God, and common sense!
Mardi Gras is just a hetero inclusive version of the SDF.

Wouldn't you be a lot happier with the ladies over at stormfront.com or whatever it is?

That's quite a leap you made there. We're talking a week or so out of the year.

Lighten up, Francis.

I hear that some of the gay parades in San Francisco are a lot of fun too. Lots of heteros there too BTW joining in with the hilarious time. You may like it there.

I'm not implying anything other than lots of people find any festival fun, no matter what kind of people they're partying with.

The complaints about people having a good time are a little too remenicent of the taliban for me. They took kites and toys away from children and punished laughter because it took too much time away from worship.

It's pretty high up the list considering the relatively short time we have here.

I was talking to a local(St Louis) policeman yesterday, and he said that they have already begun planning for a major influx for our Mardi Gras, which has grown quite a bit in the last few years. In fact, they're expecting it to be the largest in the country next year, and are not sure they can handle it. It's going to be an interesting year!

The Mardi Gras industry is much more than a week. They have a large swath of the economy devoted to it.

I'm hoping for the best for the kids of NO. Personally, I hope they have good things other than a Mardi Gras industry to look foreward to.

Yeah, don't want people speaking out against gays "having a good time", do we?

I'm not so sure that there will be much of one in NO.

The creepy, self-righteous gloating I saw on other threads has been enough to make me reconsider my time here.

I know at least one other poster who has left for good.

Yes, I believe if the short time you have here is what you live for, having fun would be the most important thing in life.

First-person analysis, poster-child's eyeview, Wolfean pangs of separation, this is the stuff of modern journalism.

IF New Orleans can scrape together another Mardi Gras, I will definitely be there! That should be one heck of a party.
