Judicial Watch sues Herndon (Va) over aliens

A national watchdog group announced yesterday it has sued the town of Herndon over its recent vote to establish a formal center for day laborers, many of whom are illegal aliens. Judicial Watch, a D.C.-based nonprofit public interest law firm, filed the lawsuit yesterday on behalf of six town residents who they say oppose the center. In its lawsuit, the group requests a permanent injunction to stop Herndon from using taxpayer funds to operate the day laborer center. It also asks a judge to declare the site "unlawful and a violation of federal and state law" because the center will "predominantly" serve illegal aliens. "Citizens of Herndon want to stop their town government from acting illegally," said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, which filed the lawsuit in Fairfax County Circuit Court. The lawsuit also questions whether the center is a violation of a new Virginia law that denies illegal aliens state and local public benefits. The law, which takes effect Jan. 1, requires state and local governments to verify those seeking non-emergency public benefits are legally present. Judicial Watch argues that employment services qualify as public assistance. The Herndon Town Council last month approved a proposal by Project Hope and Harmony, a group of churches and community leaders, to open a center for about 150 day laborers in a trailer at the site of the town's defunct police station.

Judicial Watch fooled many of us during their so called "assault" on the Klinton administration's evil doings... hell, they even fooled me!

Worse donation $$$ I ever spent. Klayman and company were a ringer in the good fight to rein in $lick Willie and Hitlery!

My bet is they got filthy rich on our attempts to stop the criminal organization called the Klinton Presidency...

They indeed got filthy rich. When Peter Paul was facing charges in New York on a 10b5 violation in the collapse of Stan Lee Media stock, guess what Judicial Watch did. They sent a tax attorney from California to defend him. Yes, they really did that. Peter had to then hire his own counsel. They made millions from his case. It is about time that they account for the money.

Not to mention what happened in our case, Doug, or have you forgotten about it?

We pretty well understood what Larry was when we went with him. I had a strong suspicion then, that if we so chose to leave him for another attorney, we'd have a difficult time. Unfortunately, he was the only game in town, and the Statute of Limitations was running out on our case.

Unfortunately, while JW got richer and richer, we got poorer and poorer, though in that regard, there were people who helped them out.

My next post on the PETER PAUL AND HILLARY series will be about Judicial Watch. Look for it but I'll try to remember to ping you to it. They have raked in an incredible amount of money. What have they really done?
