The hosptial evacuated the NIC babies to Atlanta; the parents had not contacted the hospital, so they didn't have a number to use to contact them.

Yet another overhyped story.

You asked me a question about the City of NOLA radio system. It was flooded out early in this hurricane, and technicians that were authorized to try to help fix it were turned away by the Louisiana State Patrol. The radios were used the first day on SIMPLEX, but could not be recharged etc. Several police precincts were underwater etc. I am sure some are still in use, but not as a citywide trunking system as designed.

Old man - 80 something years old, said all people weren't searched and checked. He wasn't. So any claims from Blanco about no possiblity of guns are BS.
