I can't believe that in hurricane country, the public isn't told how to be prepared. They are told in Florida, some folks choose not to listen.

Guess who isn't making this political though he could? Yep, Bush. He could slam Blanco and the mayor, hasn't done it. These people are sick. He did, however, make sure to compliment Governor Haley Barbour for HIS leadership....noticeably absent was any praise for the LA Gov or mayor. I'm sure the point did not escape them.

"You know I'm sitting here listening to Steve Harrigan talk about a woman 50 yards from him dying. WHY THE HELL DON'T YOU PUT THE STINKING MICROPHONE DOWN FOR A FEW MINUTES, GET THE WOMAN SOME FOOD AND WATER AND..." Yeah my thoughts exactly.
I was listening to Bill O'Reilly bloviate last night how he thought this and President Bush do that and Blah Blah BLah and I thought the whole time: Hey A$$HOLE why don't you take your AMEX PLATINUM CARD and send 10 of your FOX NEWS choppers to Wal-mart and load em up with food and water and get it to those folks instead of adding to the problem?
I am losing all respect for the all news agencies rapidly.

It was the Louisiana authorities that sat on their buts and ignored the situation.

Have Mrs. Clinton and Chuckie come forward with the NY plan to help the evacuees?
Just wondering if there will be any sense of moral reciprocity from these two losers.

OMG The SCIENTOLOGISTS are providing AID!!!!
To: OKIEDOC
Actually Bush should be applauded for thinking to sign a declaration declaring a disaster area long before the Hurricane hit. It was the Louisiana authorities that sat on their buts and ignored the situation. Amen!
To: sockmonkey
I'm thinking the Mayor of NO should borrow from the humane society and Animal Defense League's disaster preparedness plans.PRICELESS!!!

Like what liberals and their media whores have been doing to President Bush for the last five years, and they never won a single important battle against him. Not a single important battle.

We get that word in Florida, readily publicized every year although I wouldn't say hammered in. The 72 hour on-your-own is pretty much standard for ANY disaster.

Yep. But it stopped far short of politics. He couldn't name LA because it's evident they didn't qualify.
To: sissyjane
You better believe it... who has been saying differently? We were always prepared... especially after SF in 1989...
To: plain talk
I actually prefer that the president not be there. Every person it takes to be in his entourage takes away from rescue efforts.
To: Right_in_Virginia
Have Mrs. Clinton and Chuckie come forward with the NY plan to help the evacuees? I'm sure they can find a lot of space up in the Catskills or Adirondacks. And what about Corzine and Lautenberg? Amazingly silent.

Oh I sure I hope not...
To: Soul Seeker
Others should counter the dem and media attacks. The President should grab several bullhorn moments and contrast his leadership with the locals and provide assurance to the workers that someone is in charge. Unfortunately he's late getting on the ball. What he did today should have been done Wednesday.

Once again...they call FEMA!! The government officials dont even know the policies of their government!

Yes, according to Molly Henneberg in Baton Rouge, they're in the yellow shirts.
Trying to get back some positive fb after that Cruise debacle.

I can't believe that in hurricane country, the public isn't told how to be prepared. They are told; in one word: EVACUATE.
