A while back, there was a shot off to the right (of the screen). A few minutes ago, there was...
- Shots off to the left, which a National Guard truck headed toward.
- A standoff between police and the occupants of a green Cadillac.
- Several pickup trucks loaded with heavily-armed police driving off to the right of the location.
That's the thing, though -- a properly thought-out and executed plan would have included notification and activation of drivers.
I would like for Jessie Jackson to go down to New Orleans and stop these thugs.
Alas, like most cowards, Jessie is just nothing but a brave keyboard warrior.
Simply disgusting.
Is AL governor a Republican? If so, then the MSM will say that they only said that because Bush is a fellow Republican.
Also - the state government could have commandeered the trains, which would have relieved the owners of liability.
True. When I heard about men with AK47's in the back of pickup trucks, aka "technicals", I thought of New Mogadishu.
I'm watching the live WWL stream, and a few minutes ago they said they would be interviewing Mayor Nagin shortly.

There was looting in So Mississippi as well. I don't think it's really a fair comparison seeing how the populations are vastly different. If the same percentage loots in Coastal Mississippi as loots in NO your going to have hundreds of more looters in NO.
Thanks for the info, very eye-opening and, as you said, sickening. Incidently, it's curious (to me at least) to see Utah on the Top 5 Poorest States...
"Ain't That Ashame!"
Umm...last week? Are these fools aware he serves four years?
Thanks, after listening to his yesterday interview, I think I'll pass. He couldn't top himself, I don't think.
Which will be spun as helping out his Pubbie friends before too long. Never mind that (a) there's much less lawlessness in MS and AL, and (b) it's easier to get to the hardest-hit areas.
Yup, he Federalized the Guard (I think from another state) and used them. It was very illegal, but who was going to stop him? The Supreme Court? They were pissed off at Arkansas and wouldn't have heard any arguments against it.
Your opinion based on info from a biased news source CNN.
Not welcome.
