"Rush has to dump Daren Kagan." -- Worth repeating.
My husband was driving to work last night---and said there was a convoy of military vehicles miles and miles long heading south from Fort Worth...
probably from the Naval Air Station...I know that is where they flew a bunch of the hospital patients to yesterday...and then they were taken by ambulances to various hospitals in the D/FW area.
In corrupt Louisiana, those buses are only good for herding sheeple to the polls on Election Day to vote Democratic.
They probably already have, and she's waffling (maybe with ice cream) over whether it'll make her look bad or whether she really needs to do it or.....
certainly, and they weren't pretty sights.
don't count on it. The wackos are already saying Bush caused this hurricane.
Do you have a live feed or are you reporting what's seen on CNN/Fox?
Not there today, announced yesterday had appointment he couldn't change, Roger Hedgecock sitting in.
CNN's banner headline on the situation in NO:
"Where's the Help?"
I want to puke.
They simply have to start shooting these people. No choice. They've caused delays in rescue. Does anybody know which buildings are on fire now? We could see the French Quarter go up if this keeps on. Those buildings are all very close together.
"This is a disaster of epic proportions, that NO city or state or nation is prepared for"
I've heard a few people on TV this morning talking about phase II -- when all of those nasty bacteria/germs/viruses incubate in those poor people who had to walk/swim through the muck in the streets.
That's what I hope this nation is prepared for -- the way the refugees are being dispersed, there is a possibility for nationwide epidemics if they're not.
Started a Rush thread. Breaking down the Katrina story along with the numbers and good things happening there as well.
I also sent an angry email to CNN. The comments of the anchor directly after the President's meeting with the governors and Coast Guard were disgusting.
And if you wanted to go back 15 hours (or 2 NHC-predicted paths), the projected tracks all converged on New Orleans.
This AM Phil Keating was doing a live shot. The cameraman with FNC inadvertently caught the presence of a well armed guard with the crew. At last they have some protection, I have been worried about them all week as things spiraled out of control.
Let the wackos say that Bush caused the hurricane. They will overplay their hand very quickly, and backlash will benefit GWB.
What do you know about Brown? I never heard of him before this, and not much at that.
I'm going to call my senators, Corzine and Lautenberg, two obvious anti-war lefties and tell them I want the NG out of there. The insurgency is much too strong.
You mean the now more than 600 buses being run into the city by FEMA and shuttling people back to Texas?
They got over 17,000 people out by them last night. The slowdowns are because each set of buses needs an armed escort to keep from being hijacked by thugs/looters.
Want to blame someone for why it's going so slowly? Ask the thugs why they're that way.
