Is it true that the president is not going to get off the chopper in NO? I understand security concerns and all that, but I think he could really do some good for the people down there not to mention reverse a little of the MSM spin if he'd touch down.
Agreed, you cannot deal honestly with Dems, racists or looters. Just stop them.
His body language and expressions are far different with man on left in black shirt.
FEMA man might be in deep doo-doo with Dubya!
LOL I was wondering if he was going to fire that FEMA guy right on national TV! Thank God that Bush has too much class to do that...
"Loyalty" is nice. But I hope that isn't a priority over correcting incompetence.
OTOH, the left will always win that fight. The best way to deal with the political fallout will be to have honest Congressional hearings, with a chairman who's not afraid to cut off the demagogues in mid-rant.
I think the political calculus in play here is the 2006 mid-term elections. The hearings must be held soon, and if they're honest hearings it will cut the legs off this short-term bitching.
Interview ended. Radio anchors are posing the question why yesterday they couldn't at least get sufficient water and some food to the Superdome, I-10 sections with people, and Convention Center when the TV trucks could get in and out?
Good question, since those areas (at least the first two) were under at least some semblance of police/NG control.
Now saying that need army to keep control. They are being positive, talking about listeners doing the right thing, don't join the criminals.
Bush looks a bit shooked and overwhelmed. Prayers for him.
I got the feeling that the Governor of LA will not either be there or have anything to say on what she has done.
All I can say is wait and see.
Miss. Gov. Barbour asking for more fuel. Pres. Bush reassured the pair of govs that one of the pipelines is now up to 80% capacity (missed the exact name).

Lol, should have just posted my question here. Do you have an address for the nearest Salvation Army store in the Biloxi area? These people also have needs to be met.
Why do you figure incompetence when the disaster is greater than any that has occured before? How is that measured?
FEMA has not been "incompetent". there have been lapses in New Orleans for sure, but alot of that is because the local and state apparatus simply washed their hands of any logistical and security support in the first 48 hours.
Thanks for this inside perspective . . . please keep putting up any further updates . . . can't wait till the boots really hit the streets in numbers . . . hope they do before the thugs burn it all down in a last act of desperation . . . we'll need Crimes Against Humanity tribunals after all this is over, to identify and prosecute the THUGS who have killed and harmed so many by turning the rescue efforts into a war . . .
If the left attacks Bush in this they will destroy themselves.
I would read his face as P.Oed to the 10th.
Why is this in front of a camera?
