LISTEN TO MARK LEVIN ONLINE AND JOIN THE DISCUSSION
6-8PM Eastern
Will we hear
GET OFF THE PHONE YOU MORON, or
GET OFF THE PHONE YOU BIG JERK, or
GET OFF THE PHONE YOU DOPE
Woo-Hoo!
And it's Thurs.....margarita night!
YEP
Nope! Arm Chair Generals!
Agreed.
There are some people able to keep their heads in a crisis even when suffering from sleep deprivation, the effects of blasts of a hurricane, lack of food etc...Those that cannot bear what is, admittedly, a harsh strain need to be replaced with fresher bodies able to keep their heads about them. Shep could always return to the field once determined he's stable again, but right now they need to pull him. He isn't helping the bystanders he comes in contact with by becoming hysterical himself.
hell, they no longer show the WTC jumpers
You said it.
"The world did not begin unitl George Bsuh became president!"- Mark Levin!
All of the reporters there have seen things those of us sitting around typing at our puters have not seen, up close, smelled, up close, lived..up close.
It is different.
And it is hard.
And each moment they are seeing things that break their hearts and cause them to say to themselves 'how can this be happening in America'.
Plus. NO is not only suffering from the horrors of the flooding, the break down of the sewers, the lack of food, the total black out of communications which leaves rumor mills open for business, but it is suffering from an anarchy brought about by people addicted to drugs no longer available, by people who stayed behind to rob and get 'something for nothing'.
This makes NO a war zone.
When you report on criminals preventing hospitals from evacuating the sick...when you report on bodies floatings unattended and people dying in front of you...you get EMOTIONAL.
And you want everyone to feel what you feel...and you feel urgent to get out this horror.
Yeah..it is the stuff of Emmy's and awards, later, whatever.
But that does not make it less than real.
And it does, in Shep's case, fit with this style...he is a drama queen, imo, but he is a really good one. That is ok with me.
If the ACLU find out who it is...lawsuit. I bet those were the first responders, the ACLU.
You heard what Planned Parenthood gave for the relief effort right?

Heck I feel like crying and I am not even there. This is almost as bad as 9/11. The shock of 9/11 was greater as was the fear, but the suffering feels all to familiar.
"They'll never win the day"....Mark Levin
Well put...
I saw that this morning!
But that's just the thing. I don't want someone so emotionally attached reporting the news. I don't want a robot either, especially when their own country is at stake, but hysterics is NOT helping the situation. Shep needs to be removed until he can get himself together. For his good and that of the viewers.

Check this out
He is clearly emotionally exhausted. Let's me nice and give the guy a break, just change channels for now, There is later to yell! Throw your rocks now !
It might be beyond the capability, of anyone with human responses intact, to report on what he or she is seeing, smelling, living and shocked by right now in NO.
I agree. I am drained and I am not even there.
I still don't get what happened in his questioning of Landrieau, prima donna absolute who is ungoing her own crisis of guilt. Left that thread because there was no real description and not everyone has cable...like me.
You are so dead on when you suggest he is emotionally exhausted, I am sure he is. I cannot view him, so I don't know, but I heard him on Sean's radio show today and I was chilled to the bone.
