Hagel Denies Support for Sheehan (Sheehan lied)
NRO ^

Posted on 09/01/2005 1:46:44 PM PDT by hipaatwo

I just spoke with Senator Chuck Hagel’s Communications Director Mike Buttry. There have been two recent rumors swirling about Senator Hagel. The first rumor I reported on The Buzz last week that Hagel was planning to leave the Republican Party to run as an independent candidate for president in 2008. Buttry told me, “That’s not happening. Absolutely not.”

The second rumor comes from Cindy Sheehan herself. Sheehan made a claim that amongst others, Senator Hagel had called her to express his “support and love” for her protest of the war and President Bush. I asked Buttry if this was true and he told me, “Senator Hagel has never met with nor spoken to Cindy Sheehan.” I asked him if Hagel supported her cause and again he made it clear Hagel does not.

We're seeing a growing trend of desperation and paper trail of lies from Cindy Sheehan. She mistakenly claimed President Bush was golfing during Hurricane Katrina. She even went so far as to claim the president's environmental policies are to blame for the disaster. And now, as the rest of the world moves on, Sheehan is trying to create the illusion of support for her cause.

I believe Sheehan believes it really happened. Certainly it is what she'd like to happen, and I believe she's reached the point where she can't tell fantasy from reality.

Surprisingly, a LA Times reporter felt Cindy was a few bricks shy of a full load back in August:

"And what was Casey Sheehan's message? It had nothing to do with President Bush. It didn't even have to do with the war, necessarily. It said something much simpler: "I love my country."

His mother seemed intent on drowning out that message. At times she contradicted it. Some news stories about the mother's protest didn't even mention the son's name. In most, he passed through like a butterfly that is gone before you really see it."

Maybe I should call her and say that I'm Elvis and that I support her. Harry Potter? Bart Simpson? Or are they already on her list?

Can we get their phone records under Freedom of Info? I don't trust either one of them.

Sheehan is a captive of her irrational hatred of America.

Yes. But I'm saying she might be dominated by her new 'friends'. You know, they've latched onto her just like a cult would. Think of Moonies or some of the other cults and how they seek out people, especially lonely or vulnerable people, and prey on them. It's part of the cult M.O. And the American Left does behave like a cult.

She's in the hands of what remains of the American Communist Party and the other old communist front groups. Some of these people have no compunctions about applying Soviet espionage and mind-control on people. Or simply drugging them to make them more useful as idiots. To advance their agenda, I think there's very little they wouldn't do.

Shehan may be just a sad woman who is being victimized and turned into a Communist dupe at a time when she is very vulnerable. Was she a liberal and didn't like Bush long ago? I think so. But the accounts we've read of her meeting with Bush a year ago and the new version of this woman (Hanoi Cindy) that we see now seem very different.

Maybe her family should hire a deprogrammer.

I think she's a victim of these communists.

People seem to have forgotten who and what they are now that the old Soviet threat has receded. But these people aresn't some newer and nicer kind of communists. They are now what they always were and their methods recognize no moral boundaries.

Hey, is it just me, or does she sound like a lost, three-year-old?

Or drugged. I saw an interview with her yesterday. I thought she acted like she was on drugs. There was something just unnatural about her.

That just might be it. But you're right! She does seem doped up.
