At a walking/wading speed of, let's say, 3 mph, those people could easily have walked out of the city by now. They really are a bunch of selfish types that believe they will be looked after by someone else and thay don't have to do a thing for themselves. A subset of this cultural sewer believes they can do whatever they want ang get whatever they want through violence and intimidation. I cannot use the expressions and words that are appropriate because I don't want to get banned from this forum.
FOX News just reported one of their reporters had to leave a NO hotel because the police and staff there said it was unsafe to stay.
The reporter was given a blue light to use for their TV van. However, when driving down the dark street to the dome they were harrassed by gunmen.
A white rider van with armed African-Americans pulled up and said "F the police" and they next heard a gun shot.
Amen to that. Prayers are definately needed.

Oh, I agree with shooting the looters. But the poster was saying New Orleans should just be left to rot essentially, that it's not worth saving. It IS worth saving, but I confess to praying that these types will not be saved with it.
Absolutely no excuse for what is happening down there right now.
All of this is playing out before the entire world and we're looking mighty bad right now.
They MUST get a handle on this situation ASAP.
Sounds like a distinction without a difference.
I think they're waiting to declare a SOE when the massive and smaller clusters of people are evacuated. Otherwise there may be gunfights erupting all over and innocents will be trapped in the crosshairs.
After the major evacuations, there should be orders to shoot to kill anyone brandishing weapons other than LE.

Based on what is now happening in New Orleans, I can honestly say I'm glad they didn't get everyone out of the city soon enough. Can you imagine if those mutants had found their way to a Red Cross shelter somewhere?

I think they're laying low. I even see one or two of them on this thread, singing a slightly different tune. One is still saying it's ok to loot, however.
