They evidently stopped searching them as the crowds grew, to speed up entry into the Superdome.

I heard they were searching them before they got into the Dome in Texas and am reasonably sure they would also search them before they were permitted to board the bus.
Gov. Perry of Texas was on one of the shows last night and said that people will be free to come and go while in shelters in Texas.
