Thank you for the thread. I found out last night that we lost everything. I live in Gautier but evacuated to Atlanta on Sunday morning. My daughters went back yesterday (big mistake) to check things out. For whatever reason my daughters cell phone (cellular south) is getting a sporadic signal if the number she calls is long distance. She called hysterical (I wont forget her words as long as I live, or her voice) "The house is gone" the next sentence was worse because now I'm having hate in my heart. "the neighbor ran a bunch of black guys out who were looting" Wow....this sucks. My daughter and her boyfriend lost both of their cars, I lost one car and the mail wall was blown off of my house. The roof came DOWN into my bedroom. Please pray for me.
Oh, my God... and your's is one of thousands of stories like yours.
mpackard, we ARE and will continue to pray for you.
I'm praying for you!! My heart goes out to you and your family!!
Prayers for You and your family. We are glad you are safe.
You didn't lose everything. You lost stuff. God bless you for taking your family out of harms way.
Aw geez, I keep seeing the shots of debris and nothing but a foundation left. I know what it means, but your experience is the first that really connected me to the enormity of it. Be strong.
What can we do?
Oh my..I'm so so sorry.
My son's fiance has a grandmother who lives in Gautier...they've still not heard from her..do you know if many/few/most evacuated from there? Her family is frantic...
Our prayers for you. I'm hope we are treating you well here in Atlanta. Except for the silly gas panic, that is. Sit tight. That'll be over in a day or two.
I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please try to keep the faith. You are alive and safe - and you have a big nation of people ready to assist you. {{{hugs}}}
prayers lifted on your behalf.
Prayers are going up right now for you and your family.
I'll pray for you and yours.
I have relatives that think they are going back to Metairie this weekend to get some things from their homes.
Oh my. I'm so sorry.
Prayers sent.
Matthew 18:20
I'm so terribly sorry. May it be consolation that you and your family are safe from the biggest disaster to hit our country.
You have my prayers. I cannot imagine how lost I would feel in your situation. Anything else I'd try to say would just sound trite. I'm so sorry.
I am so sorry !!!!!
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Keep us posted.
Wow! I am so sorry to hear of such a loss. Words cannot make much difference but we all are here as a family. What more can be said?
