Jefferson Parrish official said that between 200,000 and 300,000 of the 500,000 parish population was still there when the storm hit. Yet only ?50K? made it to the Superdome.
Are we seeing 150K people still roaming the city?
Or did the potential death toll just get way more awful.?.?
I have to question his figures.

Mark my words, the death toll is going to be unbelievable.

Or did the potential death toll just get way more awful It's awful. There are still many trapped in St. Bernard and other areas, and the toll is worse than anyone in authority is willing to admit yet. But, "awful" doesn't describe what we will hear in the next couple of days.

I have to question his figures. You are confusing Orleans Parish (New Orleans) with Jefferson Parish (Metarie/Kenner and a big chunk of the West Bank. Jefferson Parish, while hard hit, suffered much less damage than did Orleans.
