Why am I not surprised? I understood it was below the Missisippi River but I had never read where it was below sea level so I just figured I didn't have a clue.
Was there several years ago with the Norman North Band for a competition and we took one of the riverboat dinner cruises after spending the afternoon in the French Quarter. We were also at the Aquarium which looked directly out on the Mississippi River. Wonder what happened to the Zoo and the Aquarium?
I think the zoo is okay, I saw shots of the giraffes earlier today.
