I'm not an environmentalist, but I DO think the people in this country need to get back to carpooling and cut our consumption WAAAYYYY back. Perhaps $4 per gal will make that happen. I'd sure like to see less congestion on the roads during rush hour. In the 70s, my father carpooled in a van with 5 or 6 other folks.
So congestion is caused by too many people driving? Or is it caused by refusing to reinvest and invest in more roads?
Better suggestion thsn car pooling.....ride a bike! Cuts down on global warming also! (Sarcasm!)
