In answer to an earlier question about Rick Perry...Rick Perry was Lt. Gov. who became Gov. after George W. Bush was elected to the Presidency. Perry filled out Bush's term, then won on his own. He is not all that popular now, but I won't get into that. Some of that might be his fault, some of it is not and is typical grousing and complaining against whoever is "in charge". Texas has not elected a Democrat Gov. since Ma Richards, and I swear she was an aberation.
I think Ma Richard must have been an aberration too. Hah.
When there are articles posted about Perry, I will start paying attention. Since I don't live there, what I know about his is practically nill, but I was VERY impressed with his planning and coordination of agencies today.
I'm completely out of snuff with Rick Perry and unsure how I'll vote next year, but he sure looked and sounded good on TV today. I'm pretty sure that it's just because he compares so favorably to the clueless LA gov.
"Aberation" is one of the kinder words when I think of Ma Richards. I read someone's comments on a post about how well Ma would have handled this disaster. Thank God we never had to find out when she was Governor.
