Let's be adults. W understands powerful plain-speaking. His bull-horn speech at Ground Zero inspired everyone.
This didn't do the job.
It did for me.
It's your opinion that this speech "didn't do the job" and you're entitled to an OPINION. Opinions are not necessarily true. Mine differs from yours. 'Nuff said.
Well, maybe it didn't for those who need a sugar teat but they better keep up with the rest of us or get left behind.
I'm sorry but you are a real piece of work....whimpering about the tone of his speech FGS when there are children suffering. Go write a check.
Your straw man is an absurd one.
One of the most absurd I have ever seen. The two settings and moments in time were quite different. I can see that, plain and simple. Most of us can. By my standards of what I expected currently, the President met them.
Recall that Ground Zero came days after the President had given a number of statements, from Louisiana, from the White House after he flew back, etc. The only rave he got was Ground Zero, except for his addresses at the National Cathedral and before Congress. His brief, planned statements leading up to Ground Zero did not receive such raves.
Who remembers that or cares now?
Yours is one of the most petty, irrelevant comments I have seen in my years here.
Well look who just got up: the head Doom and Gloomer.
I wasn't aware I wasn't being an "adult".
Please don't compare a Bullhorn speech after a declaration of war to a natural disaster.
You seem to be the only one that has a problem thus far with his words. Which means it didn't do the job for YOU. The Majority seem in disagreement with your opinion.
Let's be adults?? You're the one that is so needy that you need the president to comfort and inspire you. Most adults want to know what is being done RIGHT NOW to keep more people from dying, giving them food, water and shelter. This is about them right now, not YOU.
His speech at Ground Zero was not on 9/11 or 9/12. It was on 9/14. Maybe by Friday you will get the speech you want!
It was a poor speech. Let's call a spade a spade. He can do better. He looked and sounded exhausted.
Oh brother....
